Lazy daze of summer

Its a gorgeous summer day here in Colorado. I certainly can't complain about 90 degree weather when my parents are sweltering in the 115 heat of Oklahoma. And with the summer cookies on the shelf, life is good. How about checking out Bourbon Ginger Ale with a bowl of homemade peach ice cream? Mint is showing up in three forms (mint this time of year is right in there with the zucchini and tomatoes - prolific - so we gotta use it right? and its so damn refreshing on a hot day.) Mojito, mint chocolate chip, and black velvet are strutting their stuff with fresh mint right out of my garden. Mocha Almond is another fabulous ice cream partner and strawberry lemonade is exactly what you want after a meal of fresh corn and burgers on the grill. Summer will end though so get these while you can 'cause fall flavors will be coming soon.
